Members of the Bermuda Gas team are here to help you tackle a variety of issues in this monthly Bermuda Gas ‘How To’ column within the Bermuda Living supplement.

This month Sales Manager, David DeSilva helps you to become a Grill Master.

The first necessity in a grill master’s arsenal is, of course, the barbecue.

Now that the weather is getting warmer, thoughts naturally turn to cooking outdoors.

If you don’t already have a barbecue, finding that perfect one is easier than you think. Determining the right size, style, and brand of barbecue is important. Whichever barbecue you decide on, our experienced team at Bermuda Gas will ensure you get the most out of your new unit.

If you already have a barbecue, make sure you know the seasonal operating procedures for your grill. When you uncover your much loved barbecue, give it a thorough cleaning and ensure that the gas connections are properly attached.

The next prerequisite for a grill master is choice of propane cylinder.

Since gas barbecues provide the cleanest burning and most even temperature option for outdoor grilling, lighting up the grill requires a cylinder of propane. And now, for the first time, there is a choice of propane cylinders in Bermuda.

Joining the older steel prototype, Bermuda Gas has just added a composite cylinder to its offering. The new cylinder promises a number of benefits for grill lovers.

The new design and materials allow for a light-weight, rust-proof barbecue cylinder with a visible gas level.  Weighing 50% less than their steel counterparts, our new cylinders won’t rust or corrode. Easier to handle, they will last for decades – maintenance free.  Probably the best feature of the cylinder is that the walls are see-through, so you’ll never run out of gas in the middle of dinner again.

Propane barbecue cylinders have never been less expensive.

Bermuda Gas is making propane lighter for summer! Besides the physical weight of the cylinder, we have made getting propane more affordable for customers. Offering the new barbecue cylinders on a rental basis, we are providing customers a less expensive option to get them outdoors faster.

Enter to win!

From now until August 31st, when customers pick up the new cylinders from our Gas Distribution Centre or a participating RUBiS service station, they can enter to win a composite cylinder or even a new barbecue.

Follow our simple tips and you can become a grill master. For more information about our summer composite cylinder promotion, visit our website at www.bermudagas.bm.
