Bermuda Gas has been highly visible since the arrival of Damon Wade as general manager in 2009. Since then, many new initiatives have been launched.
Their propane awareness campaign began in May of last year in an effort to educate Bermudians about the cost and environmental benefits of choosing propane-powered appliances for home and office.
It culminated in November, with “The Great Bermuda Gas $50,000 Gas Appliance Giveaway” event.
This was followed by the company’s annual Christmas promotion where customers were not only given a chance to win their purchase, but also walked away with a complimentary voucher for a turkey. This turkey giveaway has become a much anticipated event on the Bermuda retail calendar.
Bermuda Gas has also recently placed a strong focus on making a difference in the community with the formation of a Corporate Contributions Committee and by taking on major sponsorship of the annual Bermuda Gas All Star Weekend basketball event.
In partnership with the S.K.Y. (Serving Knowledge to Youth) Streetball Syndicate, Bermuda Gas will, once again, present this important event in the spring of 2011.
“This is all about the youth of Bermuda,” according to general Manager, Damon Wade. “We want to deliver a quality sporting event that is suitable for families to enjoy together and we are encouraging Bermudian students to get an education, while also participating in sports.”
The Bermuda Gas team plans to keep its 2010 momentum going well into 2011, adding Whirlpool to their already impressive line-up of appliance brand names.
Along with the full range of Whirlpool electric and gas stoves, washing machines, dryers, dishwashers and refrigerators, Bermuda Gas also provides manufacturer-trained service technicians and custom ordering options.
Several promotional events are being planned to coincide with Whirlpool’s 100th year of operation, making this new relationship a special one for both organizations.
Bermuda Gas has participated in the Coldwell Banker Home Show since its inception, so this will be their ninth appearance at the Show.
This has historically been an opportunity for Bermuda Gas to answer questions, highlight new products and services, and hand out goodies.
This year, Bermuda Gas hopes to encourage the public to pay a visit to its showroom, as well as continue its informative propane gas education campaign.
Visitors to the booth will find experts on hand to provide any information you may need about new appliances, parts and service for your existing appliances and, of course, propane gas.
Did you know, for instance, that switching to propane gas could reduce your energy costs by as much as 20 per cent? Or that propane is a non-toxic fuel source that is not harmful to soil or water?
Bermuda Gas has also contributed a gas barbecue to the Coldwell Banker draw. After all, what would a home show be without prizes?
